A Change of Heart: What Time & Testing Have Taught Us about the Cardiac Biomarker NT-proBNP

Join Idexx & the SBVVMA for a discussion on Cardiac Biomarker NT-proBNP. This seminar will present a detailed overview of the NT-proBNP biomarker test, including when to measure it, why it is helpful, & how to interpret results. Research updates for NT-proBNP in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac disease in cats and dogs will be discussed. Case examples will be utilized to highlight clinical applications.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Gerstein received his veterinary medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and went on to complete a rotating small-animal internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Afterward, he worked at the Los Angeles Zoo and the Wildlife Waystation, but the majority of his clinical career has been spent in small-animal private practice. He joined IDEXX as a Professional Services Veterinarian in 2016.
